Savannah Icy Winter Dream

When we chose Savannah as our next destination, it was partly because of the weather. In December, the average is supposed to be between 63 and 40 degrees. So, I never expected to encounter a frozen fountain in Forsyth Park in mid-December. It’s beautiful and I’m glad I got the chance to take a picture, but now I’m done. Please, can we get back to that promised 60 degrees again?

Before we moved to Savannah last month my hubby looked up the average temperatures. Last night I asked me if he lied to me because it definitely has not been as warm as I was hoping. Thanks for the awesome pictures. I would have loved to see it in person but it would have meant crawling out of my pile of blankets.

Several of your pics are outstanding….very poster-worthy and/or travel log book cover. I understand the local tourism folk may cringe at the thought of showing Savannah in Deep Freeze. But hey, it’s a beautiful city, no matter what ! Almost like Kentucky.

I really had no idea it could even get that cold in Savannah but hey, if the results are gorgeous shots like these, I’ll take it! My favorite shot is the one of the mer-cherub with the rainbow. Hope you guys packed your winter things!
